1. Manage the workshop production and efficiency of the team to ensure all projects are manufactured within budgeted man hours.2. Identify potential shortfall in workshop capacity and communicate to workshop manager, Suggest overtime requirements with workshop manager as required.3. Have an understand of work in the pipeline to assist in forward production planning.4. Update each job status on the register throughout manufacture to allow the team to have visibility of progress5. Collate daily time sheets for all operatives detailing all working hours and relevant project numbers.6. Ensure up to date drawings and work instructions are in use and all superseded documents have been removed from the workshop.7. Complete toolbox talks where required and breakfast briefings with the team. Communicate production expectations and timescales with the team during daily briefings.8. Develop and motivate sub-contractor to ensure they achieve maximum performance. Provide feedback ensuring it is accurate, objective and helpful.9. Display all workshop risk assessments and method statements and ensure they are being adhered to by all workforces.10. Ensure all operatives are using the correct PPE in general and work specific tasks.11. Report accidents and near misses using the correct methods and ensure the team are also aware of their responsibilities to report accidents and near misses.
